ABOUT
LADYLIKES are a sketch duo formed by actor-comedians, Phoebe Batteson-Brown and Miztli Rose. Through weird and wacky characters, outlandish situations and a pitch of satire, LADYLIKES interrogates and plays with gender expectations and female relationships. It’s never been a better time to be woman, from Millennial mishaps to life long friendships of your favourite dinner ladies, LADYLIKES celebrates womanhood in all its messy glory.
Miztli and Phoebe met in 2017 during their run of NewsRevue, the world’s longest running live comedy show. Their passion for satire, character comedy and a funny voice or two, led them to start writing together. In May 2018 they were selected to join the Soho Theatre Young Company as part of the comedy lab. They are Leicester Square Theatre SKETCH OFF semi finalists, 2019, and debuted their first full length show, Top Secret House Party, at Brighton Fringe and the Edinburgh Festival, and performed it at the Soho Theatre as part of Soho Rising in November 2019 and VAULT Festival, January 2020. Their debut filmed Sketch, Millennial Meet Up was nominated for Funny Women's Best Comedy Short, 2019, and was an official selection at London Worldwide Short Film Festival 2019, FilmBath Festival 2019, and New Orleans Comedy Film Festival 2020. Their sketch How Does That Make You Feel is also a global official selection and won Best Dark Comedy at the Houston Comedy Film Festival 2021.
